School Readiness

EDCOE has established School Readiness goals that encompass developmental expectations for children ages birth to three and three to five.  Each set of established goals are aligned with Head Start Early Learning Framework and State Early Learning Standards across domains in order to reliably measure growth and progress toward the goals.  On-going tracking and monitoring of data related to school readiness is utilized to inform parents, staff, community and key stakeholders, implement continuous program improvements related to curriculum, instructional strategies, professional development, program design and other program decisions.  Results are incorporated into planning and the annual self-assessment process to support program quality improvements including annual revisions to school readiness goals as appropriate.
