Professional Development

As part of our commitment to delivering high quality special education programs and services to the students with special needs in our community, the El Dorado County Special Education Local Plan Area (SELPA) provides a comprehensive program of professional development offerings.

SELPA trainings are designed to support staff who are providing instruction and/or supports in a variety of special education settings. Examples of offerings that will be showcased in the current academic year are: Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS), Effectively Including All Students in the General Education Classroom, Writing Individual Education Plan (IEP) Goals Aligned with the Common Core, and Technical Trainings for Writing IEPs Using the Special Education Information System (SEIS).

Please review the El Dorado County SELPA Professional Learning Catalog for additional information regarding offerings, training descriptions, recommended audience and scheduling.
