Fire information:

The El Dorado County Sheriff's Office- Office of Emergency Services Alert Notification System provides a number of ways in which the county may contact the community in the event of an emergency such as: evacuations due to wildfires or hazardous material spills, or urgent law enforcement operations.

The El Dorado County Office of Emergency Services partnered with CodeRED emergency notification service to alert residents and businesses by telephone, cell phone, text message, email, and social media when there is a threat to the health or safety of residents.

  • Community Hubs
    • Services are provided for children, families and individuals who would like assistance connecting with diapers, wipes, health insurance, food, basic needs and community resources.

  • Boys & Girls Club, Western Slope: Starting Monday, August 23, the Placerville Clubhouse is open to ALL children while the Caldor fire is forcing evacuations. You do not need to be a current or past Club member in order to attend the Club during this time. There is NO FEE for this service during this time. The Placerville Clubhouse is open from 8:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. for all kids ages 5 and up. Breakfast, lunch and snack will be provided. Local Assistance Center - El Dorado campus, Fitness Center Building at 6699 Campus Drive, Placerville

It will be in operation on the following dates and times:

  • Wednesday, September 1, from 1:00 pm to 7:00 pm
  • Thursday, September 2 from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm
  • Friday, September 3 from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm
