EDCOE’s Wendy Frederickson named associate superintendent

The El Dorado County Office of Education (EDCOE) is pleased to announce that Wendy Frederickson has accepted the position of Associate Superintendent of Administrative Services after serving as the Executive Director of Personnel Services for a year and a half and as Interim Associate Superintendent of Administrative Services since this April. Wendy expressed, “I am truly grateful for the opportunity to be part of the EDCOE team. I look forward to continuing to work alongside and support our colleagues within EDCOE and throughout the county.”

“Wendy is the consummate professional with an extensive track record of providing high quality support to our programs, districts, and agency partners,” County Superintendent Dr. Manansala explained. “She holds a deep understanding of our local community and is well-respected regionally and across the state. As the role of County Offices continue to grow and evolve, Wendy will play a central role in shaping the future of EDCOE.”

Wendy has a breadth of knowledge gained through former positions such as the Superintendent of the Auburn Unified School District and the Gold Oak Union School District. LuAnn Lantsberger is the Coordinator for Personnel Services and noted, ”Wendy is an amazing leader. She has a calming presence and her knowledge of EDCOE and the districts we serve. The relationships she has established enable her to effectively address concerns and implement change. Wendy has worked tirelessly during EDCOE’s closure due to COVID-19 and our pending reopening, putting the needs of others ahead of herself. Her efforts to ensure that staff receive accurate and timely information has been crucial to the health and wellness of EDCOE’s environment.”
