School Facilities Closure Update - Tuesday, May 12

“The El Dorado County Office of Education is aware that Governor Newsom made an announcement on Tuesday, May 12 allowing El Dorado County to move further into Phase 2 of reopening. On April 1, the superintendents of El Dorado County’s 15 school districts and the County Superintendent of Schools, in concurrence with County Public Health Officer, Dr. Nancy Williams, extended school facility closures through the end of the 2019-20 school year. School officials are currently in the planning stages for reopening schools in the fall, and decisions will be made after the careful examination of potential scenarios that will ensure the safety and health of all students, staff and families and follow social distancing guidelines.”
