El Dorado County Office of Education

Districts/Schools

In partnership with students, families, and the community, EDCOE provides leadership with a wide variety of programs and services to support students as citizens of the future. Collaboration provides a strong base to support our commitment to the vision of student success in college, careers, and the global economy.

Our county-operated programs for children include child development for young children 0-5 years of age, which promotes the well-being of the whole child to prepare them for school. For school-age children, there are a variety of alternative programs for student enrichment and for students with special needs. In addition to the school day, services include extended day childcare that provides high-quality educational activities. EDCOE builds bridges with Charter SELPA partners to provide individualized special education services.

In support of educators, we provide innovative professional development and curriculum, instruction, and accountability services.

Operational support to education and the community includes district fiscal oversight, business and human resources. Infrastructure partnerships include information technology, facilities, maintenance and operations, developer fee collections, print shop services and emergency preparedness.
