After twenty-eight years of service to students in our community, El Dorado County Board of Education Member John Lane will be stepping down from his role, after representing Area 2 for two decades. The El Dorado County Board of Education will consider making a provisional appointment to fill this vacancy at a special meeting in July.
This will be approximately a 4-month appointment to complete the term for the Area 2 trustee, which is up for election in November 2022. A preferred applicant would also be committed to filing to run for the seat in the November 2022 election.
Applicants must be at least 18 years of age and a registered voter residing within the boundaries of Trustee Area 2 which can be viewed at https://bit.ly/3neIidb

Completed Candidate Information Sheets may be submitted online, emailed to kstewart@edcoe.org, or mailed to Superintendent of School’s Office, El Dorado County Office of Education (EDCOE), 6767 Green Valley Road, Placerville, CA 95667. Applications must be received by 5:00 p.m. Thursday, July 14, 2022. Interviews will be conducted at a Special Meeting of the County Board of Education on Thursday, July 21. Applicants will be notified of the time of their interview.
