EDCOE is looking for dedicated and compassionate individuals to join our team as Instructional Assistants – Autism Aides. These positions are an opportunity to make a direct impact on students' lives!
Position Highlights:
- Starting Pay: $21.17 per hour
- Role:Work closely under the supervision of the Director of Special Services or their designee to:
- Provide one-on-one or small-group instruction to students with ASD
- Present instructional materials in engaging ways
- Complete routine clerical duties that support the educational process
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience: Ideally, candidates have experience working with children in educational or structured settings, especially with students with disabilities. Successful completion of the EDCOE Instructional Assistant - Autism exam is required.
- Education:Candidates should have a high school diploma or equivalent, and either:
- Two years of college (48 units), or
- An A.A. degree (or higher), or
- Pass a local assessment of knowledge and skills in assisting instruction
- Specialized Training: Training in Applied Behavioral Analysis Techniques, TEACCH Techniques, and behavior management strategies is highly desirable.
