Sacramento State Launches El Dorado County Alumni Network

The Sacramento State Alumni Association is excited to announce our newest alumni network – the El Dorado Alumni Network. To celebrate their launch, the network will host a mixer at the Stage Bar in the Red Hawk Casino on Friday, March 4. Dr. Melissa Kistler ’85 (Business) and Dina Gentry ’06 (Communication Studies) have been working hard throughout the fall 2021 semester to bring the network to life.

“It’s important to us as alumni to keep up with the growing population of Sacramento State alumni in Northern California. We recognize the need to see Sacramento State more visible in our community, and are thrilled to be part of this vehicle for professional and educational networking,” shared Ms. Gentry.

“This network will represent a home for alumni living and working in El Dorado county. Our hope is to provide a space for intentional networking, mentorship, scholarship, and engagement with the Sacramento State community,” states Dr. Kistler.

“It is because of volunteers like Melissa and Dina that we are able to connect with alumni where they live since not everyone can get to campus. There are so many successful Hornets living and working in El Dorado County and this is a great addition to the variety of alumni groups already offered,” said Jennifer Barber, Assistant Vice President Alumni Relations and the Sacramento State Alumni Association.
