Soroptimist Placerville Offering Financial Assistance for Education

It is time for the Soroptimist International of Placerville Live Your Dream awardee to be selected! Each year, the Live Your Dream grant is offered to a woman in our community who serves as the primary wage earner for her family and seeks financial assistance to further or continue her education and/or training.

Interested applicants can now apply for the $2,500 award. The awardee may use the funds to offset any costs associated with their efforts to attain higher education or further their professional careers. This includes tuition, books, childcare, automotive needs, or any other education-related expense.

Recipients will then advance to the Soroptimist Sierra Nevada Region level, where they are eligible to receive an additional $5,000. The first place Region recipients then become candidates for one of three $10,000 finalist awards from
Soroptimist International of the Americas.
