EDC SELPA & Charter SELPA Business

To support the delivery of appropriate special education that meets the unique needs of the diverse student population served by El Dorado County school districts and California charter schools, EDCOE provides fiscal administrative and accounting services for the El Dorado County Special Education Local Planning Area (SELPA) and Charter SELPA. The SELPA serves students in special education programs run by the county office and the 14 districts on the western slope. The Charter SELPA serves students in special education programs operated by over 300 charter schools. These services are done for families to gain access to educational opportunities and in accordance with local plans, state and federal law.
