Students in classroom

Parent Resources

State and Federal law ensure that all individuals with exceptional needs have available to them a free, appropriate public education (FAPE) and related services to meet their unique needs.  When a student is assessed for possible special education needs, an Individualized Education Program (IEP) team meeting will be held.  The parent/guardian and/or Educational Rights holder are integral to the IEP team.

The El Dorado County Special Education Local Plan Area (SELPA) assists families and districts in supporting a continuum of special education program options.
