Health Advisory Committee

Health Service Advisory Committee

The Health Service Advisory Committee (HSAC) meetings are held twice a year and are a great opportunity for local community partners, health professionals, Child Development Program Families, and staff to learn about and discuss health topics that are prominent in our area. HSAC plays a role in community planning by encouraging strong communication, cooperation, and the sharing of information between the parties attending. Every meeting knowledgeable speakers will present health topics including nutrition, mental health, immunizations, and dental care among others. The mission of this committee is to support the wellness of each of our Head Start children and their families.

Meetings will be held in Placerville and South Lake Tahoe. For South Lake Tahoe participants, the meeting will be video-conferenced to Tahoe Center at 1286 Kyburz Avenue. If you are an individual with a disability attending the 6767 Green Valley Road meeting and need an accommodation, please contact Phil Jones, the ADA Coordinator at (530) 295-2205, at least 48 hours in advance.

Health Service Advisory Committee Goals
