Moderate to Severe

Direct services for eligible students with moderate to severe disabilities are provided in our Special Day Class (SDC) programs for students ranging from Kindergarten grades through age 22. These programs allow students to have access to standards-based core curriculum, while also focusing on individualized growth and development in the follow areas: communication, self-help/adaptive behavior, fine and gross motor skills and social-emotional development. The K-12 SDC Programs are located on school campuses throughout the county to allow students access to age appropriate mainstreamed activities, while our Adult Transition Programs are located at community-based locations to provide increased opportunities to maximize community involvement and functional skill development in a natural environment.
