Infant Development Program

Infant Development Program

The El Dorado County Office of Education Infant Development Program (previously PRIDE and Joy) provides support to families with children under the age of three who have delays in one or more areas of development . It is our goal to work with your family to create learning opportunities in your child’s everyday routines and activities and discover teachable moments. Our program also works to provide information, community resources and activities that address your child and family needs. Families are children’s first teachers and we will partner with you to create a plan to assist with your child’s development. Our team will provide intervention services in your home and community, based upon your child’s developmental needs and your family’s concerns and priorities. Our program utilizes a transdisciplinary team with highly qualified educational training, advanced degrees, specific accreditation and certification in the field areas of: Early Childhood Education, Speech and Language Services, Health Services, Deaf and Hard of Hearing Services, Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, Vision Services as well as others based on each child’s needs. We partner with Alta California Regional Center and many local agencies in an effort to connect families and their children with supports they need.
